Barton Orchards

This famous family-run farm is a well-oiled machine that boasts 120 acres of apple trees and a pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Their market offers an abundance of seasonal produce, local eggs, milk and freshly baked pies—the aroma wafts through the air as you enjoy a full day of fun at their petting zoo, getting lost in the corn maze or savoring fresh baked goods in a scenic picnic area. Enjoy a live-action haunted house, the “Rotten Core Manor,” through the end of October. Open July–November, seven days a week, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.
Stuart’s Fruit Farm
62 Granite Springs Road, Granite Springs, NY
They boast an impressive 20 apple varieties. Spend the day picking your own or buy a bag of freshly picked at their farm stand. In addition to apples, you can pick your pumpkin right off the vine! Enjoy a hayride through the orchard and take in the fresh farm air and autumn foliage. Open seven days a week, pick your own available September–November, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Outhouse Orchards
139 Hardscrabble Road, North Salem, NY
Located in Northern Westchester, Outhouse offers six apple varieties, at different times during apple season. Get lost in their corn maze, sip on hot (or chilled) cider and nibble on their warm freshly made cider donuts. Open seven days a week, September until mid-November.
Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard
130 Hardscrabble Road, North Salem, NY
Join this family-run, fully functioning farm and orchard for their famous Fall Festival. Enjoy activities like apple picking, hayrides, bounce house, games, live music, farm animals, pony rides, food trucks and face painting. Feel free to bring your fur-children too, just be sure to keep them on a leash. Stop by their country store before you head home for grass-fed beef, pasture raised pork, antibiotic-free turkey, local honey, and maple syrup. Open seven days a week, fall festival is Saturday and Sunday, September 10–October 30, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
